Proudly Bound was created with that in mind. We’re an independent publisher with a love for fantasy and science fiction, making editions that enhance the story through materials, design, and art.
We match artists whose styles fit the tone of the story and choose materials that elevate how the book feels and reads. The goal is to build something that feels true to the book, from the cover and layout to the materials and final presentation, honoring the story while deepening the reader’s experience.

Everything from Proudly Bound comes together here in Charlotte, North Carolina. I collaborate closely with each artist, select every material, and manage each step—from proofs to packaging. It’s a small, hands-on operation, and the process of bringing story and design together is what I love most. I hope that care comes through in each edition.
How we started
Proudly Bound began with a desire to give the stories I love the kind of editions they deserve. I wanted them to have a presence on the shelf that showed the meaning they hold for me. Over time, that passion grew from collecting to designing, and finally into publishing, with the goal of sharing that same experience with other readers.
How we work
We treat every book as its own project. Each edition is approached from scratch, with choices in materials, layout, and art made specifically to reflect the tone of that story. Nothing is one size fits all. Each book is considered, crafted, and designed to stand on its own.
